A number of drivers representing FedEx Corp. companies placed among the top finishers at the 2012 Kansas State Truck Driving Championship recently held in Topeka.
Topeka-based FedEx Freight driver Don Logan won his sixth Kansas state title – this time in the flatbed class.
FedEx Freight driver Jason Taylor of Wichita captured the top spot in the 3-axle class and also posted the highest score in the Pre-Trip Inspection portion of the competition.
Daniel Stapleton, a driver for Q.I.C. Corp. in Lenexa, won the Straight Truck class.
FedEx Freight driver Jan Keith of Great Bend finished second in the flatbed competition, and freight drivers Jay Miller of Wichita finished third in the tank truck class.
Mike Gilstrap, owner of Fine Line Transportation in Coffeyville, took third place in the 5-Axle Sleeper Class.
