Young Professionals of Wichita will hold its annual Enhance CommunitYProject this Saturday.
Presented by Carlos O’Kelly’s, the project is a one-day event focusing on enriching Wichita while providing YPW members the opportunity to give back to the community. A community interaction event with family friendly games and activities and a neighborhood barbeque will be held in conjunction with the neighborhood enhancement project. The community event will be held at Schell Park.
In 2011, 169 volunteers made improvements to 10 different properties in the area south of North High School. This year, volunteers will tackle 10 properties in an area south of Cloud Elementary School. The work will consist of landscape improvements, facade improvements including guttering and painting, and general cleanup of the area.
