Wichita researchers awarded three patents

Three different groups of Wichita researchers had their patent awards awarded on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Koch-Glitsch researchers Izak Nieuwoudt and Charles A. Griesel developed a cross-flow tray to facilitate mass transfer and/or heat exchange between the vapor and liquid.

Brian Clothier of TSI Technologies for a microwire system to assist with with autoclaving parts, such as those made from composite.

Richard Boone of Textron Innovations for a process for bonding composite aircraft components.

So far this year, Wichita companies or Wichita researchers have been awarded 53 patents.
