Credit Union of America is sponsoring the Gooding Financial Literacy Concert Tour at six area high schools in April and May.
Gooding is originally from Wichita. He and his band will perform his music at the shows and give a presentation explaining how his success is tied to his ability to make smart financial decisions. The concerts aren’t open to the public but are intended for schools’ students and staff.
They are scheduled for:
Maize High School on April 23;
Northwest High School on April 24;
Great Bend High School on April 25;
Eisenhower High School in Goddard on April 26;
South High School on May 1;
And Derby High School on May 2.
In a statement, the credit union said it has a strong commitment to financial literacy and the sponsored concerts are a good way to reach out to students about the importance of learning how to deal with money wisely.
