In a talk on Thursday, Treasury secretary Tim Geithner is calling for: 1. Congress should act on the President’s proposals to rebuild our nation’s infrastructure, help small businesses, and prevent more layoffs of teachers and first responders; 2. approve Obama’s plans to make it more affordable to go to college, to improve the quality of teachers, and to improve training opportunities across all industries where we are short of people with the necessary skills. 3. Bring down future deficits.
