Some day, I need to find the name of the agency that devises QuikTrip’s advertising campaigns. Always catchy, always on point.
Although, I think I’m offended by the latest sign I saw at the store at Douglas and Washington:
“Paninis are for weenies.”
Heh.

LOL! That’s great.
It wouldn’t offend me. I’ve seen more creative ones that are very border line though.
Maybe I just don’t like to be called a weenie.
LOL.
I was much more offended by the general “real men don’t drive minivans” type ads we had for so many years for gas-guzzling Assault Vehicles.
Aw, Ben,
You’re not trying to tell me you drive a mini-van?
Allow me to give you a ride some day in the Eagle staff Hummer.
I drive a Civic. My son, however, dad to my FIVE grandkids, drives a mini-van. I don’t think you can survive 5 kids (4 of them boys) and be scoutmaster and soccer coach without being a real man.
I figure Hummers are “compensation” if you get the drift.
Chuckle.
Point well taken …
I drive a mini-van, the only problem i have is its actually not quite big enough. I’d like a minivan just a bit longer. I don’t like driving SUVs, they are too top heavy, they cant accelerate as fast as my minivan does nor corner. I don’t believe in using the break peddle, so I should be able to make a right turn at the speed limit. Try that in an Hummer, Suburban or Escalade, you’ll flip it, but I can do it all day long in my Mazda MPV. I really like the options in the Chrysler, specially their touring package and sto and go seating, but Chrysler’s have horrible transmissions. Fords minivans couldn’t even make 4 stars, let alone 5 and Chevy’s have no options what so ever. The Honda is great for quality but its a bit over priced (last I looked).
Back to topic, I love QT, especially their speciality coffee’s. They have a South American coffee in there now, its wonderful. They have had a few different ones in there, most all were dark roasts, from South or Central America, excellent stuff… I’M glad they are expanding their hot food. I do miss the original breakfast burritos, as funny as it sounds, they were almost soggy, which is what made them good. The new ones are dry, not much cheese. Go QT!
All kidding aside, the QT food line is outstanding – a very significant entrant into the local fast food market.
As for vehicles, I’m not quite ready to pronounce the gas price crisis over, given the rather quick runup this spring. I’ll hang on to my Honda for awhile.
