Caffe Moderne owner Janet Rine is on a “Quest.”
She is working hard to expand the Old Town restaurant to include a separate room for special events. The highlight of the room is an Art Deco-style mural painted by local artist Steve Murillo, called “The Quest.” Rine’s goal, after the bills are paid, is eventually to use income from the room to buy a Beech Staggerwing like the one depicted in the mural. “I want that Staggerwing,” Rine said. In fact, she is calling the entire room the Quest Space. “This has been a quest for me to be able to afford an airplane.” The Staggerwing is one of eight airplanes depicted in the mural.
The room should be open in a couple of weeks.

Lady it will take more money than what you make off a dinning room to buy a Staggerwing. Unless you put slots in and a crap table.
Good evening fair citizens of Gotham…
I wish her absolutely the best in achieving her dream. With the quality of her restaurant I am quite confident the quest will be completed.
FYI: Never, under any circumstance dinne at a crap table. The view of the glass becomes half empty rather quickly.
Listen, this is one driven lady with a history of accomplishment and a major aviation background. She knows very will what a Staggerwing costs and I fully expect to see her end up with one. The banks that understand airplanes make financing very affordable and I’ll bet her family income is substantial. Of course, the more you patronize her restaurant the easier it will be for her to realize her dream.
The prices at Cafe Moderne are already pretty steep. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good. But I’m sure we can expect some price increases to help her get her plane.
