Boy, I’m really glad I shelled out the bucks to switch from Cable to Direct TV so I can see my Cardinals play almost every game. They’ve scored two runs in three games _ the third isn’t quite over, but they’re behind 10-0. Lots of issues. The team can’t hit. The bullpen has been awful. But everybody tells me we’re only three games into the season.
I wish I didn’t let this stuff bother me.
As for my new satellite TV, after about five calls to the main office I think I’ve got it figured out. It’s not bad, actually, except that I need more high definition channels. Somebody called our radio show today, after we went off the air, and suggested Radio Shack has an antennae that can bring in more high def. Anybody know anything about that.
You people are saviors to me. Without you, I’d be nothing.

Well first the stuff from RS will bring in the local HD channels. But your TV needs to have a built-in HD Tuner or you’ll need an extra box. Go to this site to help you find what type of antenna you will need: http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx
Second, you should of just waited and you never would have had to change to that evil dish: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2826280
email me if you need any more help….
Bob are you going to switch back to cox? Just saw that baseball made a deal with cable for the extra innings package as well.
RE: Huggins story in Thur Eagle…as usual, Lutz missed the point. Remember how everybody in Kansas absolutely villified Roy for going back hom–after giving KU MANY years of his life? Now Huggins wants to leave after ONE year…and you seem to be agreeing with his ‘heart’? Huggins is a thug…good riddance. He can’t carry Roy’s jock…in life or as a coach. Why K-State sank low enough to bring this character in is unfathonable to begin with.
DEPENDING ON WHAT RECEIVER YOU HAVE, IT SHOULD HAVE A HIGH DEF TUNER FOR YOUR LOCAL CHANNELS. ALSO BEING THAT YOU LIVE UP NORTH THOSE CHANNELS SHOULD COME IN GREAT. I HAVE DIRECT TV AND GET ALL MY LOCALS IN HD FOR FREE, I HAVE THE H-10 RECEIVER, BUT DON’T HAVE THE NEW HD DVR LIKE I HEARD YOU SAY ON SPORTS DAILY. I CANT BELIEVE YOUR INSTALLER DIDN’T HOOK YOU UP WITH ALL THIS INFO, AND EVEN THE ANTENNA. ANYWAY IF YOU NEED ANYMORE HELP BOB JUST DROP AN EMAIL,,, DAVE, BIG SPORTS DAILY FAN
What a Dish installer not having the best customer service skills???? NO WAY!!!!
They are contractors who get paid for the amount of jobs they get done, so they are not going to sit there and explain things to a person. They are just going to install, get a signature and leave as quick as possible.
What no blog for almost a week, you must have been a busy camper. I spent the weekend in Kansas City, thought you were right on target with your comments about the Huggins/Martin tea for two. Two columns on the front page of saturdays K.C. Star sports page were even more scalding, going so far as to blame the Athletic Director and the school President for making a mess of the whole situation.
Bob, what’s your take on Imus being fired? Are you guys on Sports Daily worried about your careers?….should you be?
Bob,
Thus far, I’m pleased that I didn’t jump and waited for Cox to come to agreement with MLB. Maybe Direct TV would be the right way to go, but thus far, I’m still afraid to make the switch. Too many horror stories.
Maybe you can convince me that it’s worth it.
