It was a quiet night. I watched Game 1 at Sidepockets and kept my eyes on the television all night. It wasn’t all that exciting, but who needs excitement every night? I was ready for a 7-2 Cardinals victory and for a great pitching performance by rookie Anthony Reyes.
I’m getting a kick out of everybody who is picking the Tigers to win this World Series easily. Do they not realize the Cardinals have Albert Pujols, Jim Edmonds and Scott Rolen? Or that rookie Chris Duncan, who now gets to DH in the games played in Comerica Park, is a really dangerous hitter? And that pitching has carried St. Louis this postseason.
Go Cardinals!
