I’m a big fan of the Eagles. Everybody knows that. Well, everybody who knows me knows that. Anyway, last week I went out and bought five Eagles CDs, CDs I already had but somehow lost over the years. I’ve probably bought all of the Eagles stuff at least five times through the years. Maybe more. I bought all the records, all the 8-tracks and all the CDs. I’ve purchased all of the group’s DVDs. And I have seen 17 Eagles concerts, as well as nine Don Henley solo concerts and a couple of Joe Walsh solo shows.
Doing some quick math, I figure I have spent somewhere around $1 million on the Eagles. Well, maybe not quite that much.
Anyway, I bring up the Eagles because there’s nothing I enjoy more in life than putting an Eagles CD in while I’m driving and singing along. I used to do a pretty good job with that. But now I have lost my high pitch and it shows. It’s frustrating. When I try to get to those high notes, I fail. The sound is not good.
Anyway, I wish I could get that back. But I think my vocal chords are shot.

Who cares if you can hit the high notes? There is no better group to sing along to than the Eagles. When my husband and I were first married and did any traveling, we always played the Eagles and sang along. If you’re an Eagles fan those lyrics just keep coming back to you! KEEP SINGING!
Hey Bob, if your the only one in the car who cares. I say keep singing too! Eagles songs are the best. I went and saw them with my Dad and I have to say it was one of the best times of my life. Just me and my dad, singing, dancing, drinking, having a heck of a time. My dad getting teared up during Hotel California, because that was the first place he lived when he was stationed in California when he joined the Air Force. It was a great bonding moment for my dad and I.
BOB–A couple of days late but everytime I hear the Eagles, which is quite a bit on my IPod, I think of our trip to Amarillo with Johnny Murphy for the Shockers-WT game. Thanks for turning me on to a great group. They did the best concert–better than the Paul Simon-Van Morrison in Ireland–I’ve ever attended.
