I feel self-indulged when I write about my endeavor to become more healthy, but I figure the more accountable I am, the better.
Today I had a doctor’s appointment. Remember, my health regimen started four months ago. I was a mess _ high blood pressure, high blood pressure. And my weight was too high.
Well, my blood pressure is good. My cholesterol is down considerably. And I have lost 35 pounds, with a goal of losing about 30 more.
The key has been watching what I eat and, mostly, getting after it in the gym with a five-days-a-week routine that would kill lesser men.
Anyway, if you’re keeping score, that’s the situation as it stands.

Way to go Bob!!!! Keep it up!!!
you are an inspiration. going to the gym is addictive. so is chocolate. i love both. keep it up. i’ll try to cut down on the sweets and drop some lbs.
Congrats on your impressive endeavor !!
Maybe you should post some pictures so your fans will know what the new Bob looks like..
I started this January too, dieting, going to the Y(north). I’m down from 223 to 208 but I can’t seem to break through the rest of the way. I’d like to get to 190 which would be about what you’ve lost. Have you hit any walls and what’s been your secret to get through them?
Bob,
It really sounds like your life is going well! I’m glad. I too want to encouage you to keep after it. I know you have inspired me to work on getting in “shape”. I hope the radio show is going well, as I have been unable to hear as I’m traveling around the country. So, your blog is what I have to get me updated. I do need to listen to some of your stuff on line. Have a Great week!
Pastor Mike
lutzie,
keep up the workouts bro. i read your stuff all the time. i do hope that your workouts, combined with four weeks of vacation in the next seven weeks, will allow you to clear your mind enough next fall to fawn over my jayhawks. even though i always root for the little pepperpot from topeka, i will want to know your thoughts along the way as the jayhawks travel to the national championship (assuming that as a no. 1 seed, they can get out of the first round).vhope
