A major milestone

We are fast approaching the 500th response to this blog and I just want to take this time to tell all of you: Get lives.

No, just kidding. I truly appreciate the time you have taken to post your thoughts on a variety of subjects, most dealing with my lack of a life. Your suggestions, comments and opinions have all be appropriately filed and my character, I believe, has been enhanced by your input.

I’m trying to think of a way to celebrate the 500th comment to the blog. I’m not sure what it might be. Perhaps I’ll take the person to dinner. Perhaps I’ll devote an entire blog entry to that person.

We’re at 450 comments right now, so I’m guessing we’ll get to 500 sometime within the next couple of weeks. This makes Barry Bonds’ pursuit of baseball’s home run record seem minuscule by comparison.

    Bob,
Maybe I will hit the milestone, and I will be able to say I did it without even using any clear or the cream. By the way way I thought your new special friend was helping you find with kinder side? I thought you were going to lose it with savage at the begining of Sports daily today, but then again Savage could do that to the Pope.
On a side note I know Paster Mike reads your blog I would like to know what church he belongs to I would love to come to his church sometime and her his word of wisdom.

Bob, did you see the guys wearing OU t-shirts at the game in Omaha? I wonder if this is happening at other games?

    Bob,

500 is a special number - I figured that you had passed that plateau long ago! I do enjoy reading your Blog - While “inspired” might not describe what I feel after reading your Blog. I do find humor and “common man” intellect (that is somewhat sarcastic) in the reading of your entries.

I would like to be number “500″ so that we could go to lunch and discuss “24″ without having Bruce telling us to “get a life”. I would love to discuss the “deep things” of life and what comes after with you. I do wish you God’s Blessings and who knows - maybe this Platform - “Bob’s Blogs” - could be the makings of a “Best Selling Book”. . . . Ok - maybe a few more articles.

    Have a great day!

    Pastor Mike
