I’m ashamed to report that except when I have been working, I have rarely left my hotel room since I arrived. I went to eat at a seafood restaurant Wednesday night and ordered a steak. How smart is that?
When I got back to the hotel Thursday night, I laid in bed and watched NCAA Tournament games and the United States’ loss to Mexico in the World Baseball Classic.
So tonight I have vowed to go out and see what Greensboro has to offer. It looks like a good place. At least that’s the impression I get from my seat on the media shuttle bus that transports us back and fort from the hotel to the Greensboro Coliseum.
If Wichita State had lost to Seton Hall on Thursday, I would have been headed for Auburn Hills, Mich., to cover Kansas. While that would have been great, it’s much better to stay in one place. So for that, I’m thankful.
