You really need to talk to the owner of the B-29 and not pick on Spirit or Boeing. They have both gone out of their way to help with this project. It is the owner of the plane (and that isn’t Boeing, Spirit or the Kansas Aviation Museum) and find out why the project is stalled.

I’m just glad it happened. Be thankful of that, all of you. The OEM aircraft companies don’t have to do ANYTHING when it comes to the heritage of this town. One (even though it is not an actual OEM) did a good thing. Leave it at that.

Finally?? This has been in the works for about a decade. This is NOT news…just procrasination that has come to an end. I hope Turner and company can do without it. They’re giving that piece of land to the museum but yet kicked B-29 Restoration Project out of a little used hangar back in ’05. That eviction was the DEATH of the restoration program as it was envisioned. That airplane with NEVER fly again….too much politics and too little action.

I worked the J models and they were totally worn out. Good to see the Corp getting the machine they wanted instead of what Congress wanted them to have.
