umm dogcatmother, who said my daughter is unhappy or worried. She has simply made a comment. And by the way she is a very happy child. I do not hide anything from her. She likes to watch the news. And i will not hide from her that we will not have the extra money this year to go on trips, out to eat as much, and just plain ol shopping. She is more worried about people who are homeless and hungry than the people who are living high off the hog. So until you walk in my shoes dont judge. I would say she is very happy.. and by the way she is in the 6th grade and on the honor roll.. :)

They are not worried about it, they will take the bail out just like the US auto makers and the execs will still get their huge bonuses.

hey, look at it this way, he is paying money to employ the people who put the 162 parts together at cessna. if he didn't buy, there wouldn't be one to put together and more would be laid off. besides, they are in the business to sell airplanes not give their money away to people. you want to whine to someone, do it to obama, pelosi, and reid. we'll be losing more jobs with cap and tax, health care, & other handouts because businesses will end up laying people off or not rehiring to pay for it, just like what happened when minimum wage increased so much the past couple years. In the end, we'll all be paying for it.

The real problem with this airplane is the massive amounts of change to the design. The Boeing engineers run amuck and there seems to be no management oversight to what these changes do to the schedule or the Bcase.
Some day soon this science project will make a really good HBR case study.

johns283940, why would it be a public record? themoi, you sound like a menace. Does everyone on here propose that she should not have the right nor opportunity to purchase and fly her husbands company's aircraft and that one less sale would be an even better situation that it already is at Cessna? That makes sense.
I don't believe that it was Jacks fault that there were hundreds of jet cancellations and hundreds of single engine cancellations. You should be more unhappy with the customers that cancelled instead of Jack, or maybe the DC crowd that continually pitches Cessna products as evil.

Chicago-based Boeing has done far too much out-sourcing overseas. As a result they are running into 'fitting' problems and re-work.

However, I am sure their executives will continue to get their 'performance' bonuses.

Yeah, right. Like getting a pilots license is that easy. It takes a LOT of time, money, study and if you get a crappy instructor (I've had 3 of them) it takes even longer. Of course she will probably sail through by cheating and become a menace in the air. Just what we need. A menace in a Chinese made menace.

Way to go Rose! Help sell those planes so we can come back to work.

Jack Pelton has done a great job with Cessna. It's not him that's causing all the lay offs, it's Textron. Pelton is a great CEO and really cares about the company and the people who work there.

ellehc your 3rd grader is only mimicing what you've told her. Way to go making your own daughter worry and unhappy.

It sounds like Boeing needs to get it's act together. Not being able to deliver a finished product to the customer is bad for EVERY Boeing employee, regardless of position. They need to fix this now!
