Tuesday afternoon, Eclipse Owners Group announced that it’s working on an agreement with Hawker Beechcraft to provide service and maintenance for Eclipse 500 aircraft should it be successful in buying the assets of bankrupt Eclipse Aviation.
Late Tuesday night, another group vying for the assets, Eclipse Jet, announced that it has an agreement with logitics and management organization Eclipse Service Network to form a network of service centers. Eclipse Jet is also in discussions with service providers in Europe, it said.

Hawker Beechcraft Corp. and the Eclipse Owners Group are working on an agreement under which Hawker Beechcraft would provide maintenance upgrades and other aircraft services to members. Members of the group own Eclipse 500 very light jets built by bankrupt Eclipse Aviation.
The companies have signed a nonbinding letter of intent and are beginning negotiations for a definitive binding agreement.
The Eclipse Owners group will negotiate with Hawker Beechcraft to keep the Eclipse 500 fleet flying in the event the group is successful in buying the assets of Eclipse Aviation Corp. It is one of several parties wanting to bid on the assets.
