Wichita Aero Club forum to focus on future of aviation fuel

This week’s Wichita Aero Club luncheon will focus on aviation fuel and the need to find a replacement for 100 low-lead fuel used by the majority of single-engine planes.

A discussion on the topic will be moderated by Walter Desrosier, vice president for engineering and maintenance for the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, an industry trade group.

He will be joined by Jon Zuilkowski, CEO of Swift Fuels, and Johnny Doo, vice president of engineering and product integration at Continental Motors, which produces piston-powered engines.

At GAMA, Desrosier works on technical policy issues including certification processes and regulatory requirements governing the design, production, and operational safety of general aviation aircraft,  Wichita Aero Club information said.

The luncheon will be held Wednesday at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Wichita Airport. A reception will begin at 11:45 a.m. followed by lunch at noon. For more information or reservations, call 316-641-5962 or 316-681-4491.
