WICHITA – Cynda Thomas, co-author of a biography about test pilot Dick Thomas called “Hell of a Ride” will be in Wichita Friday, June 12 for a book signing.
During his career, the late Dick Thomas crashed a T-33 at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, ejected over Mount Whitney in a Northrop F-5, spin tested F-5’s at Edwards Air Force Base and was Northrop’s chief test pilot for the classified Tacit Blue 
demonstrator in secret locations.
Tacit Blue Whale established many firsts in the stealth world. It was the first stealth to use curved surfaces, which led to the development of the B-2 Bomber. The photo is courtesy of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.
The book signing will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Barnes & Noble in Bradley Fair at 1920 N. Rock Road. Thomas’ daughter, Velvet Thomas, co-authored the book with her mother.
