I think this is still the air capital. I’ve read forecasts and all the experts see the current downturn as short-term. Everyone sees a return to significant growth for the biz jet companies in town.
The bottom line is that no other city in the world has the concentration of aircraft companies found in Wichita.
But there are plenty of places that would give just about anything to have what Wichita has – layoffs included. I don’t mind my tax dollars going to help with incentives since I think the long-term outlook is good. I think we should at least try to keep what we have.
Absolutely, Wichita is still the Air Capital of the World!! There is no other place on the planet that manufactures as many aircraft as our town.
