Defunct Florida air-taxi operator, DayJet, has filed for Chapter 7 liquidation, according to Aero-News.
DayJet Corp., DayJet Leasing and DayJet Services claim $3.28 million in assets, versus $3.87 million in liabilities, the report said. More than 60 unsecured creditors were listed in court documents. The largest claim filed includes about $1.2 million owed to Eclipse Aviation, which makes the Eclipse 500 very-light jet operated by DayJet, and another $312,000 owned to Eclipse’s training operation, it said.
DayJet was Eclipse’s largest customer and had about 1,400 Eclipse 500s on order with the company.
DayJet, based in Boca Raton, Fla., ceased operations in September.
